STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTIONwelcome to my website!! here you'll find info about me, links to my accounts on other websites, and a lot of text and/or images about things that I like. at the moment there's not much to look at because I'm just getting started making a website but eventually there should be lots to see!
after a bit of work the website should now work on mobile devices! now I actually need to figure out what I want to put on the site... I procrastinated so long everything I wrote feels outdated
video games
I primarily play indie games, typically ones with pixel art, an emphasis on difficulty, and a cute or dark aesthetic. my favorite video game is Celeste, though it's followed closely by OneShot, OMORI, Needy Streamer Overload, UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE, and Terraria. I also enjoy reading visual novels, including the Nonary Games, Steins;Gate, HEARTLOVEPOWERTEMPLE, BAD END THEATER, and A YEAR OF SPRINGS.
I used to play Super Smash Bros competitively (under the tag LevelWorld), but now I prefer to play other platform fighters like Slap City or Rivals of Aether casually against friends. I haven't been playing many multiplayer games recently, but I've grown very fond of 100% Orange Juice.
music
video game music
while I don't listen to it as often as I used to, video game music still holds a special place in my heart. the soundtracks for VVVVVV, Needy Streamer Overload, and Rhythm Doctor are all fantastic, and I also really admire the work of Lena Raine, Greg Lobanov, and Toby Fox. I really like it when games use their music to enhance emotions you'll feel while playing, because those feelings tend to reverberate whenever you listen to the soundtrack outside of the context of the game.
vocaloid & j-rock
the music I most commonly listen to is vocaloid and j-rock, including a few anime openings and many covers of vocaloid songs I already enjoy. my favorite vocaloid artists are inabakumori, mochiutsune, weak fish, and iyowa. I enjoy covers made by momone chinoi and sirokuji nenne. honestly j-rock might not be the best descriptor for it but it's what best describes my favorite band, TUYU. I'm also an avid MILGRAM fan, and I listen to some Reol and mafumafu on occasion.
ytpmv & otomad
ytpmv and otomad are definitely the most niche kind of music I like listening to. there's way too many creators to list separately so here's a playlist of all the ytpmv I enjoy. I particularly enjoy sources of anime or games I've already seen, especially Puyo Puyo or any mario game. I also enjoy the ones that have very little to no background music, but I think any amount of original music can make for a great song.
